List of significant Christan sites that we will visit

About the Tour Leader

John Kneski was born and raised in Westhampton, New York. He studied architecture and fine art at the University of Miami from 1982 to 1987, which included studies abroad at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia, Italy. He received a master’s degree in architectural history from Syracuse University at the campus in Florence, Italy in 1990. Having directed month-long undergraduate programs in Italy for thirteen years; John has extensive knowledge of the major cultural and religious sites between Sicily and Venice, but is particularly fond of early church sites in and around Rome. In his career as an architect and preservationist, he has been published in numerous journals, most notably Metropolis, Preservation Today, and Architecture.

Airfare

Each person will purchase their airfare individually. It is recommended that everyone take the same flight as the group leader to take advantage of the airport transfers and other transportation. Everyone is invited to use frequent flier miles, upgrade to first class, purchase trip insurance, buy a ticket with flexibility, etc. You may even take a different flight altogether, but I won't be able to accommodate transportation to the hotel, check-in assistance, etc. The cost of the airfare will obviously fluctuate between now and timeof purchase.

Ground Costs: $1995

All hotel, ground transportation, site and museum admissions, group meals, sea transportation, gratuities, and other miscellaneous costs will be covered in the ground costs. In general, everyone is responsible for their own lunch and dinner costs, as everyone has different needs in that area, with the exception of several group dinners. Individual rooms will of course be less economical than double rooms, so individuals are encouraged to pair up (we won't be in the rooms very often).

Deposit Deadline: March 21st (ish), 2012
All deposits are fully refundable until the deposit deadline date.

Balance Deadline: April 15th (ish), 2012
