John Kneski of Southfork Private Tours was an excellent guide for the day, thanks so much for your suggestion. John advised us of relevant Jitney  and LRR train timetables from Manhattan, and we made our own way to and from by LRR train, which was really easy... John met us in his Durango at Southampton station. He is a really pleasant laid-back sort of  guy, and was able to show us a lot of the Hamptons in a day. He and his family have been Hamptons residents for many years, and it  was great to hear an insider's view of the place.  He tailored his tour to our particular interests, and he was happy to change the schedule if we wanted to stay somewhere longer, or see something different. Our 19 year old daughter and 16 year old son are tough critics, and they both enjoyed the day. His private, personalised tour was about the same price per person as a ticket on the big bus tours that are run from Manhattan and that have you spending half your day in an outlet mall! Much more fun checking out the Hamptons' main streets' boutiques at leisure than a frenzied shopping mall ! - Sue Parkinson, Melbourne, Australia

The Hamptons tour was well worth trip out of the city. John Kneski thoroughly knows the area and shows you places off the beaten path. I highly recommend the tour. - Christine Toffoli, New York, NY

Dear John, I wanted to thank you for the wonderful and extremely informative tour of the Hamptons your company lead when we visited the Hamptons over Thanksgiving weekend.  Your extreme knowledge of Westhampton, both historical and personal, was very interesting and entertaining.  I loved having lunch at on Jobs Lane in Southampton and touring the towns of Westhampton and Quoque.  The highlights of the trip were going to the shore and watching the beautiful sunset and having dinner at  the place you took us to. Thank you for the tour and I am looking forward to my next trip to the Hamptons!! Sincerely, Carol Trowbridge Miami, FL

Dear John, It was wonderful to share the experience of the tour you led and your informative knowledge of the Hamptons.  It was so nice to be with my family enjoying the tour and seeing historical sights that I didn't even knew existed!  It may be feel very close to the area and it gave me a wonderful feeling.  The bakery/coffee shop felt like it was right out of a story book. I would return again in a moment and tour the towns again and most of all, going to dinner at the great Italian place you took us to. Thank you for the wonderful tour!  Sincerely, Irene Toffoli Miami, FL

My wife and I took this very enjoyable day-long tour of the Hamptons, seeing so many interesting places through the eyes of a born and raised local. Too many things and sights to mention or remember, but especially as a golfer I really liked seeing the famous Shinnecock Hills golfcourse (thanks for making that detour on my special request !). Loved the amazing beach homes in Quogue, the nice tour and  lunch in Southampton Village, and the visit to Westhampton Beach on this beautiful fall day! That old historic Southampton Cemetery with the very very old graves was REALLY creepy! And then topping it all off with a great dinner in that wonderful Italian restaurant in Eastport.  Many thanks to John for being so flexible in customizing the tour based on our interests. Highly recommended. - Alex Jensen, New York, N
